What action has the Welsh Government taken to assist farm owners in diversifying the natural habitats on their property?

Atebwyd gan Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
The Welsh Government provides capital and area-based payments to farmers and land managers to maintain, restore and enhance natural habitats on their land. Through the Rural Development Programme, Glastir provided this support. As we transition to the Sustainable Farming scheme, transitional support, including the Small Grants – Environment and the Growing for the Environment schemes, encourage and support farmers to enhance and create new habitats, as well as diversifying their farm management practices. The support the Welsh Government has and will continue to offer for the sustainable management of our natural resources follows sustainable land management principles.
