What discussions has the Welsh Government had with Cardiff Council and other public bodies regarding travel to Cardiff ahead of the Wales v New Zealand rugby match on 5 November 2022?

Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
Welsh Government, together with key partners including Cardiff Council, the WRU, Network Rail and other public transport providers participated in extensive discussions to develop a travel and communications plan for the Wales v New Zealand rugby match on 5 November to help mitigate the impact of planned industrial action.
This long-running dispute was caused by the UK Government’s failure to reach agreement with staff at Network Rail and train operating companies headquartered in England. This has had significant consequences for Wales, leaving rail operators no choice but to advise people to avoid train travel for the Wales v New Zealand match.
