Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Social Partnership
Transport for Wales offered free transport to Armed Forces veterans to attend events on Remembrance Sunday.
Other rail operators running services in Wales – Great Western, Avanti West Coast and Crosscountry – also offered free travel for veterans to attend events on Remembrance Day.
Serving members of the Armed Forces, were able to travel for free if they were travelling in uniform or showed a current MOD90 Ministry of Defence-issued identity card.
Veterans could travel for free if they showed a form of documentation that identified them as a veteran. This includes a Ministry of Defence-issued Veterans ID, Veterans Railcard or other form of identification, such as proof of pension.
