The police have responsibility for law enforcement relating to the Highway Code. Welsh Government and local authorities regularly liaise with police forces in Wales in relation to road safety.
Welsh Government provide funding to local authorities for National Standards cycling training. This year we have allocated £670,966 for cycle training, and whilst this is predominantly directed at training for children, we encourage local authorities to offer more adult training. We also provide an annual grant to RoSPA (Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents) of £118,048 which includes advice to cyclists to ride safely.
