What conversations has the Minister had with Transport for Wales regarding improvements to accessibility at railway stations?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
Rail infrastructure including accessibility improvements at stations is the non devolved responsibility of the UK Government. Far too many of our stations remain inaccessible following years of underinvestment by the UK Government via Network Rail. This is why we are investing in the infrastructure that we do own. The Core Valley Lines transformation project will deliver step free access to and from all stations, other than at Trehafod, including new footbridges and level boarding at all stations on our brand new fleet of trains.
