The Programme for Government commitment states that Welsh Government will: “Explore how the establishment of a National School for Government might contribute to the principle of a One Welsh Public Service”.
As such, the work done and the work planned for the future is focused on exploring how the idea could practically contribute to the principle of a One Welsh Public Service.
Between March and November 2022, Government officials have carried out early scoping work on this project. Engagement work with key stakeholders to assess demand and consider options is planned for the New Year, while recognising the current financial climate.
This work is being carried out as part of the Co-operation Agreement between the Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru.
