What conversations have Ministers had regarding the governance of national sporting bodies in Wales?

Governance arrangements for National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of sport in Wales are a matter for the bodies themselves. However, Sport Wales holds regular discussions with NGBs on their governance arrangements and has co-produced a Governance and Leadership Framework and a Capability Framework with the sector. These are designed to give practical advice and support to NGBs on best practice in governance. The new Sport Wales funding model also makes clear that NGBs receiving funding are expected to align their governance arrangements with the Capability Framework. I also have regular discussions with Sport Wales and NBGs on a range of matters, including governance.
