Will the Minister confirm whether the current number of trees planted in Wales is sufficient to be compatible with the obligation to reach net zero by 2050?

Atebwyd gan Minister for Climate Change
Our Net Zero Wales plan includes an ambition to plant 43,000 hectares of new woodland by 2030. This requires a step change from current woodland creation levels. Last year the Deputy Minister for Climate Change led an intensive deep-dive exercise to identify actions to remove the barriers to planting trees in Wales. We have begun to implement these actions, including committing £32m to tree planting through two new woodland creation grants.
