What action is the Minister taking to improve the safety of male drivers, given that they account for 60 per cent of all road casualties?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
A disproportionate number of men continue to be killed or seriously injured in road traffic accidents in Wales, although recent statistics show that this disparity is reducing. In 2018, 69% of those killed or seriously injured were male (Link), but this had reduced to 60% in 2021 (Link).
We are continuing to focus on improving road safety and reducing accidents, including reducing speed limits where it is appropriate to do so.
