Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Economy
Traditionally, trade deals have focused narrowly on the economic benefits of developing closer trading relationships with other trading partners.
In Wales we consider trade policy through a Wellbeing of Future Generations lens, rather than in purely economic terms. This informs the views we give to the UK government during negotiations
The Welsh Government supports the progression within any agreement on issues such as labour, worker’s rights, female empowerment and environment, including dedicated chapters and provisions where appropriate.
