Will the Minister confirm how the £5 million to increase the number of allied health professionals and increase access to community-based care supports residents of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board?

Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
The £5m investment to increase the number of Allied Health Professions (AHPs) will be made available from April 2023 to create additional AHP and support worker posts in primary and community services to help provide alternatives to hospital admission and reduce reliance on long-term social care.
This recurrent investment will be made available to every Health Board in Wales including Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. It supports our programme for government commitments in primary and community care, including improving access to health professionals and bring a wider workforce together in a reformed primary care system.
It will be for Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to determine exactly how to utilise this funding in order to best meet the needs of their population. I expect them to do this with local partners and other funding streams, aligned to the objectives of our national programmes.
