Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
The Welsh Government has committed £1.15 million for a Maternity and Neonatal Safety Support Programme across Wales. This is currently in its discovery phase, with safety champions for maternity and neonatal services appointed in every health board, including Swansea Bay University Health Board, alongside national leads. The Maternity and Neonatal Safety Support Programme works collaboratively with health boards to identify improvements and support their implementation whilst focusing on patient and staff experience, which must be considered when assessing service performance.
