Will the Minister provide an update on the Welsh Government's baby bundle scheme and whether there are plans to roll out the scheme permanently nationwide and, if so, to what timeline?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Social Services
We are continuing to make progress on the baby bundles scheme, which we believe will help families by providing key items essential to their new baby’s development and wellbeing.
The scheme will be open to all new and expectant parents throughout Wales and my intention is that baby bundles will be available for the foreseeable future.
Final arrangements are being made to commence the necessary procurement process and roll-out will begin as soon as possible after these arrangements are complete.
I will write to the Member with a more definite timetable once the necessary contractual arrangements have been made.
