What consideration did the Welsh Government give to autonomous vehicles as part of the roads review?

Evidence shows that a reduction in our private car usage is essential to meet our 2050 NetZero requirements, despite anticipated technologies such as connected and autonomous vehicles, or electric/hydrogen vehicles. Therefore we cannot continue to emit carbon on road projects that then induce private car demand and increase emissions. This approach is reflected in both our Wales Transport Strategy and decision making in light of the roads review.
