Does the Welsh Government support Transport for Wales's ambitions to run services to Bristol?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
We fully support Transport for Wales’s ambitions to run services to Bristol as part of delivering a network of alternatives to the M4 set out in the Burns Commission report. Transport for Wales require the permission of the UK Secretary of State for Transport to operate any additional services to destinations within England not currently served, such as Bristol. Transport for Wales were denied permission to include services to Bristol in the 2018 Wales and Borders franchise procurement by the UK Government Secretary of State for Transport.
