Further to WQ86716, will the Minister confirm that Public Health Wales has developed a business case concerning the rollout of a targeted lung cancer screening programme across Wales and, if so, provide a timetable for the publication of such a business case?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
The Welsh Government has received a business case from Public Health Wales (PHW) for the development of a lung cancer screening programme in Wales which is currently under consideration. The first meeting of the UK Lung Task Group was held in December attended by both Welsh Government and PHW. The next meeting will take place at the end of April. My officials are working with UK counterparts and PHW to understand how a lung cancer screening programme could best be implemented in Wales.
