I have just announced a further £11m of funding for Nature Networks Projects this year to strengthen the resilience of Wales’ seas, forests and disappearing grasslands and the funding for this programme will continue. We are also providing support to our most endangered species through the Natur am Byth programme administered by NRW.
Our work with the UK Squirrel Accord is setting up a Research Sub-group, to include discussing research topics to be prioritised by Wales. The Wales Squirrel Forum provides advice on all matters concerning squirrel species in Wales.
