Further to WQ86098, will the Minister consider increasing the frequency of rail replacement buses during the improvement works on the valleys lines in South Wales Central?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
Transport for Wales sets the frequency of rail replacement services to be comparable with the frequency of rail services normally operated on the lines when it is possible for it to do so.
Transport for Wales has acknowledged there have been some issues for passengers with the replacement bus service on the Treherbert line. It is working closely with local stakeholders to make adjustments to these services, including increasing the capacity of replacement services for Treorchy Comprehensive School pupils.
