The new booking platform has been procured by the Welsh Government, for use by local authorities. The platform is operated by Teacher Booker, with discussions ongoing with the WLGA on how central functions will be supported. It will be implemented on a staggered approach across local authorities, according to the areas which have a sufficient number of supply staff registered to meet schools’ needs.
As the platform is rolled out, supply teachers will be able to access work in schools outside their local authority, and schools will book supply teachers based on their own criteria.
