What assessments has the Welsh Government made of the alternative broadband operator, Broadway Partners', decision to call its administrators, and how can the Welsh Government support rural communities in Mid and West Wales impacted by this announcement?

We are aware of recent developments regarding Broadway Partners. We understand that broadband services are unaffected and that a buyer is being sought for the business.
My officials have met with their counterparts in the local authorities where Broadway Partners provide services. They have also met with the UK Government’s Building Digital UK (BDUK) team that is liaising with the company about their involvement in UK Government projects, including those in Wales.
We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops to identify whether communities need further support. We have a suite of interventions to support residents and businesses to improve their broadband connectivity, including our Access Broadband Cymru grant scheme and Local Broadband Fund.
