Will the Minister confirm what water quality improvement methods the £15 million grant awarded to Natural Resources Wales will be used towards?

The grant will support a programme of work to improve compliance with the Water Environment (Water Framework Directive) (England and Wales) Regulations 2017 and related legislation which will deliver water quality improvements.
This includes remediation work for abandoned metal mines to help prevent discharges of pollution into waterways and a programme of works to improve spatial distribution of breeding fish populations and greater uptake of restored and optimal habitat in upper catchments for fish production.
The programme of works will put in place interventions that will help increase the resilience of ecosystems, so that the water environment can, over time, respond to pressures by resisting, recovering and adapting to change, whilst continuing to provide multiple benefits to society.
The work will be targeted in water bodies failing to meet Good Ecological Status under the Water Environment (Water Framework Directive) (England and Wales) Regulations 2017.
