Cwestiwn
Mae'r cwestiwn a'r ateb yn Saesneg gan nad oes fersiwn Gymraeg ar gael.
Will the Minister meet with individual parents and guardians regarding lessons learnt when the Educational Tribunal for Wales's decisions have found fault in further education institutions?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Education and the Welsh Language
Education tribunals are an independent process which may give recommendations to colleges, which are autonomous bodies. A tribunal process engages only the relevant college and those appealing and does not directly involve the Welsh Government. It would therefore be inappropriate for Ministers to intervene. However, my officials monitor the outcomes of tribunals and ensure any recommendations are responded to.
As colleges are autonomous bodies, they each have their own complaints procedures, which include an option for the right of appeal. The Welsh Government does not have the legal powers to investigate complaints against them.
