What plans do the Welsh Government have to undertake an impact assessment of the accessibility of vaccination services in rural communities?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
Ensuring equitable access to vaccination is a key priority which underpins every aspect of our National Immunisation Framework for Wales (NIF). The NIF sets out our commitment to ensure everyone who is eligible for a vaccination is offered one in an accessible way, via person-centred, community level provision; and the availability of trusted, reliable information, so individuals can make an informed decision.
The accessibility of vaccination services is the responsibility of health boards, who have developed local plans for the populations they serve. Each health board is also required to develop a vaccination equity strategy and programme of work to address and ultimately eliminate vaccination inequity in their communities, as detailed in the NIF.
