What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the structural integrity of schools in Wales?

Welsh Government works closely with Welsh Local Government Association and Consortium of Local Authorities in Wales to disseminate information and guidance on known structural issues.
It is a local authority duty to assess condition and safety risks including structural integrity for all buildings within its school estate and to maintain records. However, high-level condition data is collected annually through the Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme.
The Programme’s investment objectives include reducing sub-standard accommodation which is assessed at each stage of the business case process through the Sustainable Communities for Learning Business Case Scrutiny Group and Education Investment Panel.
