What is the Welsh Government doing to improve financial education in schools?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Education and the Welsh Language
Financial education is embedded in the Curriculum for Wales statements of what matters and is mandatory for schools to deliver.
The Welsh Government is an active member of the Wales Financial Education Forum (WFEF), which helps to support schools to deliver high quality, fun and exciting financial education to their learners. This information is disseminated regularly to schools via the Dysg newsletters. For example, recently we featured the Fiver Challenge in Dysg which is a scheme operated by Young Enterprise, a partner of the Wales Financial Education Forum, to encourage entrepreneurial skills and experiences.
