Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
As of July 2023, there are 36 CT scanners in Wales.
Since 2021, £51m has been invested in replacing ageing diagnostic equipment and enabling the upgrading of technology, including replacing CT and MRI equipment.
This investment enables ageing equipment to be replaced by the latest technology; providing better imaging quality to enable faster and even more accurate diagnostics whilst speeding patient flow, and reducing down-time as a result of breakdowns and maintenance.
