What steps are being taken by the Welsh Government to replicating throughout Wales the model of regional building control services, including effective sharing of resources, that currently exists in north Wales?

The recent Audit Wales report ‘Cracks in the Foundations’ recommended that Local authorities should work with partners to explore the potential for collaboration and regionalisation. I welcome this recommendation and will continue to explore with local authorities the regionalisation of building control services, including placing building control under the auspices of Corporate Joint Committees.
