What steps is the Welsh Government taking to reduce the amount of trains cancelled in Wales?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
People deserve a rail network that can be relied upon to get them to their destination, no matter which government is responsible. Not all cancellations are within the control of Welsh Government. There have been a significant number of services cancelled due to the UK Government’s failure to resolve industrial disputes.
I have told Transport for Wales its performance must get better, and I will be monitoring this closely. Cancellations of Transport for Wales services have reduced due to our £800m investment and the rollout of brand-new trains.
