Will the Minister clarify how much of the £800 million being invested in new trains by Transport for Wales will be allocated to improving passenger experience and rail journeys between Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen?

Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
Our investment of £800m includes 77 new trains from CAF. Transport for Wales plans to introduce these new trains on services to Pembroke Dock in early 2024 where they will gradually replace all of the old trains currently running these services. This is a change to the plans set out by Keolis Amey which would have resulted in old trains running these services until the conclusion of their contract in 2033.
It is not possible to break down the £800m investment into a monetary value for individual lines of route as the overall fleet will be more flexible with the CAF trains operating services across Wales and the Borders.
