How does the Minister ensure appropriate privacy and dignity for women receiving care in the Welsh NHS and other health and care settings?

I expect all NHS Wales staff to adhere to the NHS Wales Health and Care Standards, first introduced in 2015 and revised as appropriate. It is good practice for other health and care providers to follow the Standards.
One of the criteria for Standard 4.1 Dignified Care is “Confidentiality, modesty, personal space and privacy are respected especially in hospital wards, public spaces and reception areas.”
Supporting guidance for this Standard reminds staff to monitor arrangements for respecting the privacy and dignity of people who use the services, e.g. with environments that do not compromise privacy or dignity, such as the availability of single-sex bedroom accommodation, and single-sex toilet and bathing facilities. It also advises considering the Dignity in care guidelines published by Social Care institute for Excellence.
