It is recognised that cold and damp homes can have a significant and disproportionate impact on people with certain health conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Consequently, people with a respiratory illness who are living in a home with an EPC of D or below are eligible for the Welsh Government’s warm homes scheme: NEST. The scheme offers advice and for people who are eligible to receive free home energy efficiency improvements.
