What is the Welsh Government's current estimate of the total cost of electrifying the north Wales coast line?

Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
Rail infrastructure is a reserved matter and is the responsibility of the UK Government. We are not aware that any detailed work has been undertaken by them to provide an accurate estimate of the cost of delivering this scheme. Our own very early indicative estimates suggest that the work necessary to deliver electrification of the entire North Wales Main Line would cost far in excess of the £1bn announced by the UK Government.
