Will the Minister make a statement on the decision to cancel proposals for a £50 million railway station at Llanwern that would have provided additional capacity on the train network in Wales during periods of increased use?

Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Climate Change
We have not cancelled plans for a new station at Llanwern. Transport for Wales are currently consulting on proposals for this station.
The Major Events Stabling Line project has been cancelled as the business case no longer provided value for money. However, this scheme would not have provided additional capacity on the rail network in Wales.
