Atebwyd gan First Minister (Mark Drakeford)
The National Survey for Wales is carried out for Welsh Government and sponsored bodies by an external contractor. From 2023-24 onwards the contractor is Kantar Public.
Since the survey began in its current form in 2016-17, core contract costs (primarily for fieldwork) total approximately £12.6m. A team within Welsh Government designs and manages the survey, and analyses and reports on the results; staff costs (based on average grade costs) over the same period total approximately £3.0m. The breakdown by financial year is as follows:

2018-19
2019-20
