What assessment has the Minister made of whether the Habitat Wales scheme will be of greater benefit to the environment than it is to the rural economy when it comes into action?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
The economy of Wales is totally dependent on the environment we live in. This relationship is critical as we face the challenges of changing climate and weather patterns. Once contracts are issued, we will be able to assess the full benefit from the scheme. In doing so I intend to focus on all three pillars of sustainability – environment, social and economic benefits.
