What steps is the Welsh Government taking to improve classroom safety in schools?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Education and the Welsh Language
All schools are required to have a behaviour policy that promotes good behaviour. School behaviour and attendance policies shape the school ethos and they make a statement about how the school values and includes all the people in it.
The Welsh Government is developing guidance which aims to support senior leaders in schools and pupil referral units (PRUs) to make well informed decisions about their behaviour strategies.
Officials are already engaged with the sector, including Unions, on the development of this guidance.
