All Local Authorities in Wales commenced their 10-year Welsh in Education Strategic Plans (WESP) in September 2022.
All Local Authorities are preparing 9 year school capital programmes which will be submitted to the Welsh Government by March 2024. All programmes are expected to reflect the commitments made in the WESPs.
From April 2024 we will be providing funding Local Authorities funding via the Local Authority Education Grant (LAEG) with four grant elements, including a Cymraeg 2050 element which will focus on supporting the infrastructure and growth of Welsh in education.
