The Curriculum for Wales supports learners to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding to help them lead healthy and active lifestyles which promote good physical health and well-being.
The Welsh Government’s aligned strategy, Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales, will provide over £6m of funding in 2024-2025, which will include support for the early years and physical activity. As part of this, the Daily Active approach will help reinforce the value and importance of lifelong enjoyment of physical activity in schools.
