What weight does the Minister give to bids which will retain jobs on site when disposing of land owned by the Welsh Government?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning
The detail of a disposal and prioritisation on outcomes sought will be dependent upon the nature of the asset. However, the priority is to achieve public value from the disposal and also consider the societal impact of government activities. Outcomes from disposals aspire to improve people’s lives, economic wellbeing and protect or enhance the environment and biodiversity.
More information on the Welsh Government’s approach to disposals, particularly in respect of surplus assets, can be found within our published guidance. https://www.gov.wales/sites/default/files/publications/2020-11/identification-and-disposal-of-welsh-government-non-core-surplus-land-and-buildings.pdf
