When will the Welsh Government provide a formal response to the Welsh Youth Parliament report on the mental health and wellbeing of young people in Wales?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Minister for Mental Health and Early Years
The former Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Well-being wrote to the Welsh Youth Parliament following the publication of the Young Minds Matter report and met with their Mental Health and Well-being Committee to discuss their findings. The Committee also met with officials to discuss their findings as part of the engagement work to develop the draft Mental Health and Well-being Strategy.
The report and recommendations have helped shape the draft Strategy and our ongoing actions to improve mental health and well-being. The report has been considered alongside a wide range of reviews, evidence and Committee reports that have informed this work.
We are currently consulting on our draft Mental Health and Well-being Strategy and we are providing additional, tailored support to ensure young people can engage with the consultation.
