What discussions have the Welsh Government had with the UK Government about providing a railcard for NHS and health sector staff?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Transport and North Wales
We are working in close partnership with the UK Government to improve rail services for all passengers in Wales. Against a backdrop of severe constraints on public finances, there are currently no plans to increase the number of railcards offering discounted rail travel in Wales. However, Transport for Wales strives to deliver value for money for passengers, and, in addition to the range of railcards already offering substantial discount on rail travel in Wales, TfW has introduced products such as Advance tickets, Multi-flex and Pay As You Go to further improve savings for passengers.
