Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
Public Health Wales is responsible for managing, delivering and quality assuring the breast screening programme in Wales. Women aged 50 to 70 who are resident in Wales and registered with a GP are offered screening every three years by Breast Test Wales at either a mobile unit in their locality or at one of the centres in Llandudno, Wrexham, Swansea or Cardiff.
People who are transgender or non-binary may also need to attend for breast screening and depending on how their gender is registered with their GP, they will either be invited for screening automatically or can let their GP or the screening programme know that they want to be offered screening.
