What penalties will the Welsh Government give to developers who consistently miss their target dates to begin cladding removal works?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning
The progress made by developers is scrutinised and challenged by officials on a quarterly basis. This includes timescales, progress, and any barriers to the completion of works. As part of the monitoring process, should officials suspect a material breach has occurred, the Welsh Government will instigate the appropriate legal action – this will not fall to leaseholders.
