Which Welsh Government-approved road projects are currently overrunning their completion dates, and how much is each project costing the Welsh Government for the delay?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
The A40 Llandewi Velfrey to Redstone Cross and the A465 sec 5&6 on the Strategic Road Network are currently running to programme and consequently there are no costs for delay.
The Welsh Government provides funding to some Local Authority road projects through the Local Transport Fund and Resilient Roads Fund. There have been delays in completion of the replacement of the B5065 road in Newbridge, which was initially estimated for completion in winter 2022. These delays have not resulted in an increase in the total amount of funding awarded to the project by Welsh Government.
