What consideration has the Welsh Government given to directly funding Project Seagrass and saltmarsh projects, rather than making them compete for funding?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
Since 2021, Welsh Government has provided £298,000 of funding to Project Seagrass through the Nature Networks Programme and the Coastal Capacity Building scheme.
A competitive process provides a transparent, fair and equitable way to allocate government funding which enables a diverse range of organisations to access it.
