What steps is the Welsh Government taking to make bus stops as accessible and safe as possible for people with vision impairment?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
We have made grant funding available to local authorities in recent years to enable them to make bus stops more accessible and provide better facilities for passengers across Wales.
Funding has been used to upgrade over 30 bus stops along the key TrawsCymru T5 and T11 routes in Pembrokeshire, and this has included the installation of tactile paving to help guide passengers with visual impairments. Transport for Wales are also working with local authorities to provide audio announcements at key bus stops as part of this work.
