The Welsh Government’s ambitions for education in Wales are set out in Our national mission: high standards and aspirations for all. They include a commitment to equity of outcome in education for every child and young person in Wales, to ensure the success, high standards and wellbeing of all learners.
Schools in Wales can design and develop their own curriculum to meet the needs of their learners, this includes recognising and celebrating the diverse nature of social groups and communities. Schools can choose how they reflect diversity and their response to the experiences of those groups and communities.
Our Hwb platform provides pupils, parents and schools with a range of resources available to support diversity in the curriculum, including how to support those who seek sanctuary in Wales.
