How many stocks of the bird flu vaccination have been purchased by the Welsh Government in the current financial year?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
The Welsh Government, like the rest of the UK and the EU, does not use vaccination to help prevent or control bird flu. Vaccines are unlikely to provide full protection for the current strains of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) circulating in the UK. Stamping out remains the most effective means of controlling an outbreak.
