What discussions took place between the Welsh Government, Network Rail and Transport for Wales before Network Rail announced a 16-day rail closure in March into April on the Cambrian rail line?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
We have regular discussions with Transport for Wales and Network Rail regarding the railway in Wales. We recognise the impact that this closure will have on passengers as Network Rail undertakes essential engineering works, and we are working closely with them to ensure that disruption to passengers is minimised. This vital work will help to improve performance on the Cambrian Line and enable the introduction of brand-new CAF 197 trains to the route.
