How many children are waiting for community paediatric services in the Welsh NHS?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
The Welsh Government is committed to ensuring all children receive high-quality healthcare services that support their overall development, health, and well-being. There is considerable focus to reduce and eliminate two-year waits and health boards have received additional funding against their waiting time plans.
The Welsh Government does not collect data on the number of children who are waiting for community paediatric services in the Welsh NHS.
The Integrated Quality Statement on Children's Health will set out our clear expectations about the high-quality services health boards are expected to deliver. The quality statement will be developed with the support of the National Strategic Clinical Network for Child Health. A series of collaborative workshops will be held in the summer with key stakeholders, service users, and the NHS Executive to gather insights as part of the quality statement’s development.
